Can I adjust my thermostat or water heater controller during a Smart Hours event?

During a Smart Hours event, we’ll keep your home within a few degrees of your usual scheduled temperature. However, if you’d like to opt out and override the event, simply change the setpoint on your thermostat. If you have any questions, you can reach customer support at 1-844-412-0614. If you choose to opt out of more than three events during a qualified season, you won’t receive the extra $25 bonus reward for participating in Smart Hours.

If you are enrolled with a water heater controller, we will adjust your water heater controller to reduce heating during the event, but will ensure that the capacity never dips below the minimum threshold. However, if you’d like to opt out and override the event, simply change the setpoint through the Aquanta app. If you choose to opt out of more than three events during a qualified season, you won’t receive the extra $25 bonus reward for participating in Smart Hours.
