When will my rewards arrive?

Once you sign up, Alliant Energy® Smart Hours will verify your eligibility for the program and contact you if we have any questions. You’ll receive an email when your enrollment is complete. In the next one to two weeks, we’ll send your Visa Prepaid card to the email you provide on your enrollment application.

Note: There is a limit of one enrollment incentive per household per device type.

 

Battery program

You will receive your enrollment reward in the form of a check within two to four weeks after we receive your completed W-9. You will also receive payment by check for your performance incentives calculated at the end of the year.

Our partner Uplight administers the battery program and oversees its implementation, payment processing and customer support. Uplight issues the W-9 form on our behalf via email from support@alliantenergysmarthours.com.

Incentives for enrolling and participating in the program are considered taxable income. As such, Uplight will collect W-9s from all participants before processing incentives so Uplight has the necessary information to issue 1099 forms in January. The tax implications for each participant will depend on individual circumstances and we recommend you discuss with your tax professional.
Uplight will store W-9 forms securely with restricted access and use them only for the purpose of issuing the 1099 forms.
