Which water heaters are eligible?

Alliant Energy® customers with electricity and an electric water heater are eligible for the program. Customers must also have an Aquanta smart water heater controller. These controllers are designed to work with most residential and small commercial storage-style water heaters. Heat pump water heaters, tankless or instantaneous water heaters, boiler-feed water heaters and combi systems are not compatible with Aquanta devices and not eligible for the program.
